The program requires a minimum of 120 credit hours, including credits for courses completed in previous nursing programs, general education credit hours, core credit hours, and nursing major hours. The Texas Board of Nursing approves the online RN to BSN program and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission fully accredits it. The tuition cost for Texas residents to attend Lamar University is $208 per credit hour and for non-residents it is $562 per credit hour.
Capella University
Capella University offers an online RN to BSN program through its Department of Nursing within the School of Public Service Leadership. The program strives to provide licensed RNs with additional knowledge to make a difference in today’s multifaceted health care settings. The program requires 180 credits for graduation. The tuition costs are $305 per credit for lower-division courses and $315 per credit for upper-division courses.
